Favorite YouTube Nursery Rhymes Songs
We all have some favorite nursery rhymes and YouTube Nursery Rhymes Songs that we grew up with. When I was a kid, one of my favorite stories was Old Mother Hubbard, about her missing pies and how she goes searching for them. Another story that sticks in my head is Hickory Dickory Dock, which tells the tale of a little boy who says three times to his cat "Hickory Dickory Dock!" It's funny because it rhymes but it also sounds like he's saying "Hey! Get out of here!"
Old Mother Hubbard
This nursery rhyme Old Mother Hubbard is about an old lady who goes shopping. She buys a little bit of everything, but in her haste to leave the store and get home, she forgets to buy bread. The shopkeeper says "he's gone to the fair," so off she goes to find him before he gets too far away.
Little Boy Blue
Little Boy Blue is a rhyme about a little boy who is very lazy. He does not want to get up and clean his room, but he is told that if he does not clean his room, he will be punished. The punishment would be that Little Boy Blue's mother will take away all of the toys in his room and put them in another room with no toys at all. So finally, after being told this many times by different people throughout the day (including Santa Claus), Little Boy Blue decides that it would be better for him to clean up his mess than have no toys left at all!
Hickory Dickory Dock
Hickory Dickory Dock is a very popular nursery rhyme. It’s about a mouse that runs up the clock, which is called “hickory dickory dock” in this rhyme. This can be a good one to teach kids how to count by saying, “One! Two! Three! Four! Five … etc…”
These are some classic rhymes all kids know. They're songs that kids will sing, hear and learn in school.
